Barbara Knoke de Arathoon

 

Barbara was acting curator at the Ixchel Museum in Guatemala City, with nearly 20 years experience researching the Maya textile tradition of Guatemala. Her support and advice has been beneficial in studying Maya weaving and understanding Spanish weaving terminology. She translated the script for Manuela & Esperanza, and participated in a recent field trip in Alta Verapaz to research pikb’il weaving.
